Six ways to get a number out the door
Every service below ends the same way: a finished deliverable, structured by CSI MasterFormat, checked against a QA/QC list, and signed off by a senior U.S. reviewer before it reaches you.
We review your plans and quote at no charge before you commit. We'll also join your pre-bid and post-bid calls.
Plan takeoff
Quantities taken off your drawings โ PDF, DWG, or BIM. Single trade or all trades. Every quantity is organized by CSI division, verified by a human, and referenced back to the sheet it came from. If a detail is missing or a sheet conflicts with the specs, you hear about it before the takeoff is final.
- Takeoff workbook in Excel, by CSI division
- Quantities with units and sheet references
- Flags on scope gaps and missing information
Detailed CSI MasterFormat estimates
The full estimate: takeoff plus cost. Materials, labor, equipment, overhead, and profit broken out separately on every line. Pricing comes from U.S. regional data and our own historical cost records โ never foreign pricing. Alternates, contingencies, assumptions, and exclusions are stated, not buried.
- Estimate summary and detailed line items, Excel and PDF
- Full cost breakout: material / labor / equipment / OH&P
- Alternates, contingencies, assumptions, exclusions
Conceptual and ROM budgets
A number before the drawings are done. From schematic or early design documents, we build an order-of-magnitude budget around the cost drivers that matter, with every assumption written down. Good enough to make a go/no-go call, honest about what it doesn't cover yet.
- ROM budget by system or division
- Stated assumptions and design allowances
- Cost drivers and risk items called out
Bid and tender estimates
Built for a specific bid: your contract type, the solicitation's format, and a date that doesn't move. Bid forms and unit price schedules completed the way the solicitation asks for them. Alternates priced as bid. On government work, Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage labor separated when required.
- Bid-ready estimate to the solicitation's format
- Completed bid forms and unit price schedules
- Wage separation where the contract requires it
Value engineering analysis
Priced alternatives on systems and materials โ not scope cuts dressed up as savings. Each option comes with its cost delta, what changes in performance or schedule, and what stays the same, so you can take it to the owner with a straight face.
- VE options with side-by-side cost deltas
- Impact notes: performance, schedule, coordination
- Recommendation with the reasoning shown
Bid comparison and leveling
Sub quotes never come in on the same scope. We level them: normalize each quote to the same scope baseline, flag exclusions and gaps, and hand you a comparison sheet where the numbers actually compare. You see who's low because they're sharp and who's low because they missed Division 07.
- Leveled comparison sheet across all quotes
- Exclusions, gaps, and scope conflicts flagged
- Plug numbers for missing scope
